Skrillex Radio Show: The Mothership!

This weekend, the electro / dubstep sensation, Skrillex, debuted his new radio show, ‘The Mothership,’ on Sirius XM’s ‘Electric Area’ (channel 52). During the two hour premier, Skrillex opened with his immensely popular remix of Benny Benassi’s “Cinema,” then mixed some monster dubstep and electro house tracks like Madeon’s remix of the mau5′s “Raise Your Weapon,” Feed Me’s “Grand Theft Ecstasy,” and Doctor P’s “Sweet Shop.” He closed out the two hour mix with his own track, “Rock N’ Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain.

A number of trance and house DJs have already tapped into international radio shows to increase the popularity of their music and their particular genres, so it’s great to see dubstep and electro producers following suit. Dubstep and electro house are on the rise, and new radio shows like ‘The Mothership’ are igniting this phenomenon.
